Marine Pollution Risk Assessment
MARINE POLLUTION RISK ASSESSMENT The National Maritime Safety Authority (NMSA) is continuing to strengthen measures to address shipping-related marine pollution risks in PNG waters. In close cooperation with the PNG Ports Corporation Ltd, NMSA is undertaking the first-ever National Marine Pollution Risk Assessment for PNG. The Risk Assessment is being undertaken in response to increases in shipping activity, driven by expanding resource projects in PNG, and also the development of new offshore industries in PNG.
